“We will involve all residents and service providers in the health and care of the Aston Family so that everyone has the chance to be fit for work, learning and leisure.”
There have been four main outcomes that have been identified for the Aston Pride Health Theme. All of the projects undertaken by the Health Theme are working towards one or more of these high level outcomes: Increase Life Expectancy to at least the city average and at best, the city’s best Reduce the levels of Long-Term Limiting Illness to at least the city average and at best the city’s best Reduce the infant mortality rate to at least the city average and at best the city’s best Improve the quality and access of health services. Given the challenge of the high level outcomes, Health and Regeneration concentrated efforts on a few large projects with the view to integrated working across social and health care needs and ultimately towards its goal of mainstreaming and sustainability.
