Improving the quality and access to health and social care services has been developed through the negotiation of delivery points with our community partners. These delivery points take the ethos of the COFSS Programme and the services out to the community. On this basis, services within the Health Theme are delivered from various community buildings, such as local schools and community centres in the Aston area. Included in this, is the Aston Pride Community Health Centre ( APCHC), which is a £3.4 million flagship building for the NDC programme. The health centre was officially opened to the public on 26th November 2007. The two-storey APCHC delivers a GP practice, community services, the COFSS programme and a range of primary care services, which deliver holistic service provisions through shared objectives and a unified case model. The community led design of the building allows for a vast degree of flexibility due to its many multipurpose rooms. This means that the building should not become outdated and allows for a response in changing service provisions.

Our Vision

“We will involve all residents and service providers in the health and care of the Aston Family so that everyone has the chance to be fit for work, learning and leisure.”
