Aston, Newtown, Lozells Area Action Plan Print E-mail

Preferred Options Consultation

Birmingham City Council is preparing an Area Action Plan (AAP) for Aston, Newtown and Lozells that will guide development and regeneration in the area over the next 15-20 years. The aim of the plan is to help revitalise the communities through a set of proposals for housing regeneration, improvements to local community facilities and provision of new employment opportunities.

We are now reached the Preferred Options, which have been informed by previous rounds of consultation in 2005 (Newsletter 1 – Issues and Objectives) and 2007 (Newsletter 2 – Issues and Options).

Once again, you have a chance to influence the development of a long-term plan for the area by joining us at any of the consultation events!

Public consultation on the Preferred Options will take place from 21 September 2009 to 6 November 2009 (6-week period).

Full contact details, timetable of events and other details can be viewed on the website:
http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/astonaap

All households in the area should receive via post an information pack about the consultation.
We would like to encourage you to complete the comments form included in the information pack and send it back to us in the pre-paid envelope provided.

You can also complete the same comments form on-line (details on the main website).
